It is important that the Doberman is trained early on in its life, as they can be quite temperamental. If they are trained they can be great family dogs and really good with children despite their reputation.They are highly intelligent, and like many intelligent dogs are very protective of their master and family.

Dogs love to socialize and taking your pet to places that they have never been before is a great adventure that will help stimulate them both mentally and physically.
When they interact with other dogs and people they develop more social skills and will generally become better pets. This is of course assuming that your dog has had some form of training and you are able to keep them under control in these situations.

Is Your Dog Safe? Is your dog living in a safe environment? Silly question isn’t it but not quite as silly as you might think at first.
We all like to provide our pets with a safe environment and giving them a safe and comfortable place to sleep is an important part of that environment. While we might have provided our dog with a safe kennel initially, we all know how dogs like to bite and chew things and their kennel is not immune to their teeth.

Dogs are a lot like children. They need stimulation or they will get bored and we all know the trouble children can be when they get bored.
Bored dogs are generally unhappy dogs and they are also the dogs that are most likely to get into trouble with other animals and humans. The happiest dogs are often the working dogs as they not only have a purpose in life but they also get the praise and regular attention of their owners.

There are times when you and your dog will need to be apart Unless you have no intention of ever being apart from your dog, then it is a wise decision to train it to be happy while you have periods apart.
